Erasmus + Information Day in Kazakhstan
ALMATY – November 7-8, 2019 Almaty will host the Information Day of the program in Kazakhstan.
This event will bring together representatives of higher education institutions from all over Kazakhstan, national authorities, representative offices of member countries of the European Union and other interested organizations. The event was organized by the Erasmus + National Office in conjunction with the Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the support of the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual Media and Culture of the European Commission. It is expected that the event will be attended by the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan, Ambassador, Mr. Sven-OlovKarlsson, Ms. Sylvia Pietropaolo, Program Manager for Turkmenistan and Regional Programs, the Delegation of the European Union, Mr. Gilles Mametz, Attache for Cooperation with Universities Consulate General of France in Kazakhstan. Venue for the event provided by the Almaty Technological University.
The Erasmus+ program is a vivid example of constructive international cooperation and European integration. This is one of the most successful EU programmes for the development and internationalization of higher education in the republic. A special place among the programme components belongs to the projects “Capacity Building in Higher Education” (CBHE), the purpose of which is to promote the development of higher education in the country. In the period from 2015 to 2019, 50 Erasmus+ CBHE projects were funded with the participation of Kazakhstani universities for a total grant amount of over 44 million euros. At information sessions, the organizers will familiarize participants with the conditions for participation in the new Call for Proposal, selection criteria and procedures, national and regional priorities, give practical recommendations and consultations for those wishing to participate in the projects of the Erasmus+ programme.
Venue: Almaty, st. Tole bi 100, Almaty Technological University, Main building, 2nd floor, small assembly hall.
Time: November 7 from 9.00. until 17.30. On November 8 from 9.30 to 13.00.

Erasmus + is a European Union-funded program that supports projects, events and mobility in education, vocational training, youth policy and sports. The program provides an opportunity for students and university staff to get education in European universities, to improve their qualifications; universities – to improve the material base, strengthen ties with other universities and enterprises, improve the quality of training of graduates. The Program implements projects to modernize the education system in partner countries through the development and implementation of new educational programs, teaching methods and training materials.
