Dear colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the Contest for the best e-course of 2018!

The competition is held in accordance with the order of the rector №PR-3722 dated 18.09.2018 “On the organization and holding of the competition for the best electronic course of ATU”.

To participate in the competition are invited full-time teachers of ATU or teaching teams headed by full-time teachers of ATU. The number of members of the team of teachers (including the head of the team) should not exceed 3 people. An application can be submitted for no more than one course. The author can be specified only in one application.

Mandatory conditions for participation in the competition:

The e-course should be placed on Eduardo platform.studio.

E-course must pass a preliminary examination at the Department. An extract from the Protocol of the Department with a reasoned decision is attached to the submitted EC. At least three selected ECS.

By the decision of the faculty, at least two ECS must be selected. An extract from the minutes of the faculty meeting with a reasoned decision is attached to the submitted EC.

The course must be implemented in the educational process; the number of students enrolled in the course – students) – at least 3 people.

The e-learning Department of the FDO has developed criteria for evaluating the competition materials of the current year, which will be recommended to the Competition Commission during the selection stage of the received applications.

The competition Committee will consider the submitted applications and choose the authors of the best E-courses of 2018.

Criteria for evaluation of competition materials:

Availability of author’s content.

Ease of use of educational materials: transparency of navigation on the course, support of course elements with methodical recommendations on their use, expediency of the reference to separate elements of a course.

The organization of interaction between the teacher and students: the implementation of the course users of the proposed tasks during the reporting period, the evaluation of the results of the work of students by the course teacher, active support of forums and other feedback elements. Use of the rating sheet, and implementation of the point-rating system by Eduardo means.studio.

Aesthetic design of materials, the absence of errors and typos in the design of the EC.

* Bonus points are awarded by the Competition Commission for innovation and original use of course elements, as well as the implementation of certain forms and methods of distance learning (“inverted class”, project method, webinars, etc.).

The course of the competition and its results will be covered on the website of the University and in the news feed https://atu.kz.

To participate in the Competition, applicants submit the following documented information to the Competition Commission:

Cover letter in the form of F. FDO.-7.5.1-2018-05-03;

The pedagogical script of EK (form F. the FDO.-7.5.1-2018-05-01);

Extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Department, faculty with a reasoned decision.

All forms are typed in Times New Roman font (size 12 PT.) after 1 interval. Applications are submitted to the e-learning Department of the FDO. The Regulations on the contest can be found here (link)

The competitive applications issued with violation Of rules of registration of competitive documentation, and also arrived after the term of submission established by the order of the rector, are not accepted for consideration. Submitted entries will not be returned to the contestants.

Applicants may be removed from the Competition in case of revealing the facts of providing false information.

Terms of the Competition:

Stage 1: receipt of applications – from September 20 to October 05, 2018;

Stage 2: work of the competition Commission-from 08 to 22 October 2018;

Stage 3: summing up-from 22 to 25 October 2018.

All participants of the competition receive a diploma of the participant. The winners of the competition are awarded with diplomas of I, II and III degrees, and also get the opportunity to place the EC on the platform of the National open education of Kazakhstan.

Participation in the competition will allow you to share your ideas, compare your approaches to e-learning with the decisions of colleagues, get a well-deserved reward and evaluation of the professional community.
