At Almaty Technological University (ATU) was held a meeting on the topic “Prevention of religious extremism and terrorism among the youth”.
Lectures on this topic were given to university students by representatives of law enforcement agencies and scientists. The main objective of holding this event among university students is to increase religious literacy and warn young people from the influence of destructive ideologies alien to the Kazakhstan mentality and skillful opposition to them. At the meeting, the prorector on educational work of ATU K. S. Bathholdin made an introductory speech:
– At the beginning of each school year, we meet with first year students, our activists, so that students know the key questions about religion in Kazakhstan, understand the meaning of the struggle of our society states against extremist tendencies and religious trends.
