The Department of development of trilingual education is a structural division of the educational and methodical management, whose activities are aimed at training competitive specialists who are capable of active self-realization in a multinational and multicultural space, creating a language environment that allows them to speak fluently the state, Russian and foreign (English) languages.

The goal and main tasks of DDTE
The goal of DDTE:

  • introduction of trilingual education in the educational process, which will provide ATU graduates with additional prospects for intellectual, professional and career growth.

Main tasks of DDTE:

  • creating an effective model of multilingual education in ATU using innovative technologies;
  • introduction of multilingual education in priority specialties of ATU and formation of multilingual academic groups of bachelor’s degrees;
  • increase the level of language training of students, education of their polylinguistic consciousness;
  • training of personnel in ATU with multilingual education and improving the skills of teaching staff and students in English;
  • organization of targeted training of ATU teaching staff abroad;
  • communication with the MES of the RK concerning the organization of multilingual education and participation in presentations, exhibitions organized by the MES of the RK and leading universities of RK with the purpose of the demonstration of teaching materials for multilingual education;
  • annual analysis of the book supply of bachelor’s degree courses with textbooks and teaching educational and methodical manuals, taking into account the principle of multilingualism, and replenishment of the library Fund of the scientific library with literature in English;
  • develop recommendations for improving multilingual education;
  • annual monitoring of the availability of qualified multilingual staff.
