Almaty Technological University has made a rebranding

On September 18, a press conference was held in ATU for representatives of the media, state and public organizations, domestic and foreign business structures in order to familiarize the general public with the NEW ALMATY TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY BRAND.

The event’s speakers were Baurzhan Nurakhmetov, First Vice-Rector of Almaty Technological University, Professor; Aida Kaumenova – designer and founder of the brand “Aida KaumeNOVA”, chairman of the ATU Alumni Association; Nasima Kalieva – director of bakery and confectionery production of Becker & K LLP, member of the Board of Trustees of ATU; Giorgio Palazzi is the founder and chef of Pomodoro restaurants.

At the opening of the event, the first vice-rector of ATU Baurzhan Nurakhmetov noted that the main goal of rebranding is the main goal of rebranding of the university – to create a creative, memorable style for successful positioning in the market of educational services, as well as the development of cooperation and communication with leading world universities.

During the press conference, designer Aida Kaumenova expressed her opinion about the rebranding of the university:
– At one time when I was studying here at the university there was a different name, after it changed at ATU. I am really glad that the university updated its brand book, thus becoming one step closer to its mission in achieving the level of the best universities in the world. Thanks to the joint ATU program with an Italian university, I gained a lot of experience while studying abroad, I realized that the most important thing is when you approach fashion as a business. ATU is trained to create the right products; and this is a wonderful opportunity for everyone from a small town or village, ”the designer notes.

Guests also had the opportunity to visit the museum, the Technopark of the university: educational and scientific laboratories of meat, bread, dairy, fermentation, restaurant and hotel center, robotics classes, etc. University staff told and showed the work process in educational laboratories in great detail, as well as guests A tasting of sausage and bread products was offered. As you know, today for the further successful development of sectors of the economy it is necessary to train highly qualified specialists with modern knowledge and practical skills, competitive in the labor market. And this is the special role of higher education institutions. Therefore, the mission of ATU is to provide quality education at the level of the best universities in the world. The university aims to apply the latest technology in science and education, and strives to become one of the best universities in the world. It was with these tasks in mind that a new ATU brand was developed and approved.

The abbreviation “ATU” in English is adopted as the basis of the logo. The updated university logo is a revised version of the previous logo in accordance with modern graphic trends. At the same time, he retained visual images, thereby ensuring the principle of continuity. The book, the sun, the mountains and the founding date inscribed in the letter U (UNIVERSITY) are designed to emphasize the values, mission and philosophy of the university. The ATU brand has a palette of two primary colors: dark blue and yellow. Montserrat is the main font that was used in the new version. We hope that the new logo of our university will contribute to the further development of the university.

It is worth noting that the high quality of ATU’s educational and scientific activities is confirmed by the accreditation of the educational programs of the university by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating and the International Accreditation of Specialized Educational Programs by ASIIN Agency (Germany) with the right to receive the Eurobachelor in Engineering mark.

ATU strives for new heights, while not changing its long-lasting values and traditions. After all, the university has a clear future – this is a general course for a research university and entering the ranking of the best universities in the world.
