On October 12, 2018, in the conference hall of Almaty Technological University was held a joint meeting of the Board of Trustees and the Alumni Association. The meeting was attended by such well-known associations, factories as Becker, Efes Kazakhstan, KTA, and others.
The meeting was opened by the professor, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ATU Mnatsakanyan, R. G.:
– The main goal of the Board of Trustees is to solve urgent problems of university development and form it as a center for training highly qualified specialists who are capable of solving problems at the level of modern requirements, introducing the latest information and educational technologies, ensuring competitiveness in the domestic and international market of educational and scientific and applied services.
The next speaker was the deputy chairman of the Association of graduates of ATU Finogenova A.V. with a report on the theme: “On the work of the Alumni Association in the 2017-2018 academic year and the Work Plan for the 2018-2019 academic year”.
The third speaker was the first prorector, professor B.K. Nurakhmetov with the theme: “Interaction of ATU and employers in the conditions of academic freedom of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
It is worth noting that at this meeting, members of the Board of Trustees voted and unanimously elected a new chairman of the Board of Trustees – Vice-President of the Union of Food Enterprises of Kazakhstan, M. Sabraliyeva.
The Board of Trustees is a collegial management body of Almaty Technological University and has been operating since 2005. For 13 years, Rodik Gaykovich was an example of a worthy, sensitive leader and respected chairman.
Towards the end, the meeting turned into a discussion platform where all the topics of this meeting were vigorously discussed, in particular, questions of further improving educational programs.
