A ceremony of freshmen dedicated to the Day of Knowledge 2019-2020 academic year was held at Almaty Technological University.
Knowledge Day is a special, bright and kind holiday. It is always an exciting date for students and teachers. Together with the beginning of the school year, each begins a new chapter in life, a difficult, but at the same time fascinating way into the world of knowledge.
On this day, ATU hospitably opened its doors for first-year students, took them into a large family. In the beautifully decorated front door of the main educational building of the Almaty Technological University, they were warmly welcomed by management representatives, teachers and senior students.
After the ceremony of carrying the flag and the national anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a congratulatory word was given to the first vice-rector of ATU B.K. Nurakhmetov, where he greeted the guests, congratulated students and teachers on the Knowledge Day, wished everyone fruitful work at our university, and also gave parting words words to new students:
“You have an interesting, exciting and versatile student life ahead of you, which will be the most important stage on the path to a successful and prestigious career. Therefore, make full use of all the opportunities that ATU provides you with – learn, learn, create and achieve success. ”
All those present were entertained by dance and music numbers by our student activists from various creative circles. Also, this event could not do without the traditional “shashu”, congratulatory speeches of the parents of students and the first-year students themselves.
At the end of the holiday, the groups, together with the deans, passed into the audience. The first school day for them began with class hours. But before entering the doors of his new alma mater for the curator’s hour, Vice-rector for educational part Katholis Batkoldin made a welcoming speech, where he greeted a new generation of students, congratulated everyone on the beginning of the school year, wished students success, reminded of diligent behavior within the walls of the university and the student code.
ATU with great joy met its new family members. We wish all students and their teachers productive cooperation and mutual respect.
