Methodological advice

The Academic Methodological Council is a collegial advisory and consultative governing body aimed at ensuring the educational process with instructional and methodological documentation, enhancing the pedagogical competence of faculty members, and improving the quality of all forms, types, and methods of educational activities at JSC “ATU”.

 

The main objective of the Council is to ensure and improve the educational process through the implementation of modern educational technologies, coordination of methodological work, development of instructional materials, quality monitoring, and integration of research into educational activities to increase overall effectiveness.

 

 

  • Methodological support and improvement of the educational process, including the implementation and adaptation of new educational technologies, methods, and teaching tools.

  • Coordination of methodological work within the university and enhancement of the educational process based on modern requirements and innovations in education.
  • Planning, review, and recommendation for publication of educational and methodological literature, as well as other materials necessary for the educational process.
  • Generalization and dissemination of best practices in educational, methodological, and scientific-methodological work, as well as improving the effectiveness of the educational process through the analysis of teaching practices.
  • Organization of monitoring the quality of methodological support of the educational process, including the evaluation of teaching and methodological complexes (EMCD) and their compliance with educational programs.
  • Organization of work on the implementation of new technologies, methods, and teaching tools, including the development of online courses (MOOCs) and digital educational resources (DER).
  • Coordination of activities aimed at improving the scientific and methodological potential of faculty members, including organizing trainings, seminars, and workshops.
  • Updating and approval of elective course catalogs (ECC) for higher and postgraduate education programs.
  • Review and approval of comprehensive exam programs, final certification, and professional practice of students.
  • Discussion and adjustment of curricula, academic calendar, and academic schedules.
  • Improvement of the quality of the educational process through the analysis of open and peer-reviewed classes and the implementation of corrective measures based on evaluation results.
  • Integration of research outcomes and innovations into the educational process, including information technologies (virtual laboratories, automated learning systems).
  • Conducting research in the field of higher education and implementing projects for innovation and startup integration into the educational process.
  • meetings of the Academic Methodological Council are held in accordance with the approved annual work plan;

  • the work plan is approved and, if necessary, adjusted at the first meeting of the academic year;
  • decisions are made by open voting with a majority of votes from members present;
  • decisions are documented in minutes signed by the Chair (or Deputy Chair) and the Secretary;
  • the minutes are maintained and stored by the Secretary of the Council.

The Academic Methodological Council of ATU plays a key role in:

  • ensuring the quality of the educational process;
  • developing the methodological culture of faculty members;
  • implementing innovative approaches to teaching;
  • forming a unified methodological policy of the university.
