Council for Academic Quality

Main Purpose:

   The Academic Quality Council is a permanent collegial advisory body established at the level of “ATU” JSC and its faculties to make decisions on the content and conditions for the implementation of higher and postgraduate education programs (HE and PGE), assessment policy, and other academic matters. It also organizes student surveys to assess the quality and relevance of HE and PGE educational programs and/or disciplines/modules, identifies cases of violations of academic integrity, and considers other academic issues.

The purpose of the Academic Quality Council is to formulate and implement policies in the field of quality assurance of academic activities and teaching processes at “ATU” JSC.

Main Objectives of the Academic Quality Council:

  • to promote qualitative transformations in the implementation of higher and postgraduate education programs (HE and PGE), as well as in the organization of related processes;
  • to enhance the competitiveness of HE and PGE educational programs of “ATU” JSC and the quality of educational services provided;
  • to create a favorable and developing educational environment for students and academic staff;
  • to ensure effective internal academic management based on the principles of academic freedom, personal responsibility, academic transparency and integrity, as well as quality management of education;
  • to carry out monitoring in the field of quality assurance of teaching and learning, academic openness, and integrity.

Role of the Academic Quality Council:

The Acaemic Quality Council (AQC) is a key body of the university’s internal quality assurance system, responsible for ensuring, developing, and continuously improving the quality of education, managing the internal quality assurance system, and fostering a culture of academic responsibility.
