Scientific cooperation between universities of Kazakhstan and Sweden

A leading foreign scientist in the field of materials chemistry, Professor of the Institute of Molecular Sciences of the Swedish Agricultural University (Uppsala) was invited to Almaty Technological University as part of the external academic mobility program Kessler Gulaym Akhmetzharovna.

  • Professor Gulyai Kessler is a member of the American Chemical Society, the International Sol-Gel Society, the Royal Chemical Society, a member of the Board of the Swedish Chemical Society, a representative of Sweden in the European Association of Chemical and Molecular Sciences (EuChemS).
  • Professor Gulyim Kessler is an external expert in chemistry and nanotechnology of the Austrian Science Foundation (FWF), the French National Research Agency (ANR), the Polish National Science Center, the Romanian National Research Council and the National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise (NCGNTE) of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • Professor Gulyai Kessler is a member of the editorial board of various international journals, a grant holder from the European Community, the Swedish Scientific Council (VR), Formas, author of more than 200 publications in international rating journals, H-index - 43.

In the period from September 30 to October 12, 2024, Professor Vadim Kessler conducts seminars and consultations with faculty, doctoral students and undergraduates in the field of preparation of the group of educational programs "Chemical Engineering and processes" on topical topics "Innovative technologies for obtaining multifunctional nanomaterials" and "Innovative technologies for obtaining adsorbents from renewable natural resources for drinking water purification".

During the meeting, the leadership of the ATU University and Professor Gulyai Kessler discussed issues of scientific and technical cooperation with the Swedish Agricultural University. A preliminary agreement has been reached on closer cooperation in the scientific field.
