ATU Launched the Short-Term Course "Green and Lean Technologies for the Innovative Development of the Food Industry"

Almaty Technological University (ATU) officially launched the short-term course "Green and Lean Technologies for the Innovative Development of the Food Industry," marking an important step toward promoting sustainable development and innovation in the food industry. The course not only provided participants with new knowledge and practical skills but also served as a platform for exchanging experience and ideas among leading experts and industry professionals.

The project was successfully implemented by the ATU Competence Center with the support of the local subsidy/grant project "Vocational Education for Economic Growth Sectors in Central Asia" and in partnership with ICON and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The course trainer, Mira Serikkyzy, an expert in green and lean technologies, introduced participants to modern innovative approaches and sustainable practices in the food industry.

The course also featured distinguished experts, including Baurzhan Kumargalievich Nurakhmetov, First Vice-Rector of ATU, and Lyazzat Kemerbekovna Baibolova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. Anastasia Kalabina, a specialist in course digitalization and implementation, introduced participants to an artificial intelligence–based virtual expert designed to support the learning process.

Representing ICON and GIZ, the event welcomed D. Nuradtinov and Hans Martin Dietz.

The event brought together representatives of businesses, industry associations, government agencies, and professional and public organizations, creating an effective platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging best practices, and promoting the adoption of green and lean technologies across the food industry.
