The Department of Food Technology of the Faculty of Food Technologies at Almaty Technological University (ATU) hosted the scientific and practical seminar "Kazakhstan Dairy – 2025"

The Department of Food Technology of the Faculty of Food Technologies at Almaty Technological University (ATU) hosted the scientific and practical seminar "Kazakhstan Dairy – 2025", organized jointly by the Dairy Union of Kazakhstan and ATU. The seminar brought together industry experts, manufacturers, and researchers. In 2025, ATU and the Dairy Union of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, establishing a framework for the systematic training of young professionals and the successful implementation of innovations in the food industry.

Over the course of two days, the seminar featured plenary and thematic sessions covering a wide range of current topics, including milk processing technologies, the production of dairy products—particularly cheese, strategies for minimizing capital investment when building dairy processing plants from the ground up, and innovative approaches to dairy production and product diversification. Participants also attended workshops on the production of fermented dairy products using demineralized whey, as well as practical sessions on protein distribution systems in dairy processing enterprises and energy-saving solutions for heating and cooling during the production of yogurt, cottage cheese, and cheese.

The keynote speaker was Oleg Viktorovich Dymar, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, and a leading expert in dairy processing technologies.
