ATU expands and strengthens strategic partnership with leading universities of China
ATU was visited by an official delegation from Jiangsu University, one of the largest and oldest universities in China, one of the academic leaders of the PRC, which currently has more than 40,000 students.
The delegation of Jiangsu University included the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Professor Peng Wu, and the Director of the Administrative Office of Foreign Education, Wu Wenhao.
The main purpose of the visit of representatives of the Chinese university was to get acquainted with the potential of our university to find a reliable partner in Kazakhstan. As part of the program of stay, a meeting was held with the Leadership of ATU, the parties discussed the draft Memorandum of Understanding and outlined key vectors of long-term cooperation.
A tour of the university was conducted for the delegation of Jiangsu University, during which the guests got acquainted with the educational and scientific base of the faculties, classrooms, laboratories and scientific centers of ATU. During the tour, representatives of the Chinese university held talks with our students, noting the high level of their training and conditions for conducting applied research.
Following the results of the first visit, large-scale cooperation formats were outlined and discussed, including: dual degree programs: creation of bachelor's and master's degree programs, academic exchanges: development of student and teacher mobility, doctoral studies: joint research initiatives.
The visit laid a solid foundation for creating new international educational standards and strengthening ties between higher education institutions in Kazakhstan and China.
