International relations of the department are built on the basis of interstate agreements on scientific, technical and cultural cooperation on various international programs: with the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry (Uzbekistan), the Kyrgyz State Technical University. I. Razzakova (Kyrgyzstan), Moscow State Textile University named after A.N. Kosygin, Institute of Industrial Technology "KITECH" (South Korea), Moscow State University of Technology and Management named after K. Razumovsky (Moscow, Russia).
Relations have been established with the Technical University of Dresden (Germany), the University of Technology and Economics of Budapest (Hungary).
Every year, at the invitation of the university, leading scientists from foreign universities give lectures and conduct practical classes.
Teaching staff and department staff undergo internships and advanced training courses at foreign universities and research centers.

The academic mobility program provides an opportunity for ATU students to gain invaluable international experience in the educational field, expand professional skills, gain learning experience in an international culture and gain useful language practice. As part of the academic mobility program, students studied at the University of Pardubice. Faculty of Chemical Technology (Czech Republic), St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design (Russia), Technical University of Gabrovo (Bulgaria), Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan) and other foreign universities.
