Professional practice on the OP Design has the purpose to form the students' professional skills and competences obtained at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th courses. All types of professional practice (academic, industrial and pre-diploma) students pass at the enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
Students receive positive feedback from the heads of enterprises and submit a report on practice. The defence of reports on practice is accepted by the commission, in the presence of teachers of the department.
During the pre-diploma practice are appointed practice supervisors from the department and enterprises, which are organised systematically its implementation.
Effective tools for attracting students and graduates to enterprises and companies are: job fairs of the city Employment Centre, annual job fairs at ATU, use of Internet resources, ATU noticeboard about vacancies of enterprises, internship at leading enterprises of the industry.
During joint discussions with employers, positive feedback on the graduates of the department was received from them, also positive characteristics and feedback from enterprises and organisations in the diaries of students during the internship.
Teachers of the Department of ‘Design’ compiled and approved the programme of practice for students of OP Design. The heads of practice from the university are: lecturer, honoured worker of culture Baikenova Sh.M., candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Sabitova A.M., senior-lecturer, PhD Abilkalamova K.K., senior-lecturer, PhD Smailova U.U., lecturer Aldanaeva A.M., lecturer Bektiyarova D.S., lecturer Aliyaskarova A.N., lecturer Zhumanazarova A.E..
Within the framework of professional practice abroad on the programme of academic mobility were accepted students from the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov (Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek), also on the programme of academic mobility students of ATU have passed practice on the basis of Osh Technological University named after M. Adyshev (Kyrgyz Republic, Osh).
Graduates of the department ‘Design’ are in demand and have a great demand in the labour market. They work at such enterprises as ‘Kazlegprom-Almaty’ LLP, Publishing House ‘Balalar әdebieti’ LLP, FE ‘Goldberry’ (Almaty), FE ‘Unikumclass’, FE ‘Dzeman N.A.’, FE ‘Loshkareva’, Atelier ‘Tatiana’, LLP ‘Iprint’, LLP ‘MarkLine’, FE ‘Antonov A.V.’. Judy Ai’ IP “Almatykitap Baspasy” LLP, “ENDEAVOUR” LLP, “AIDA KAUMENOVA” LLP, etc.
