The results of scientific and creative activity of the faculty of the department and students in the 2023-2024 academic year are: participation in International conferences, competitions, festivals, exhibitions. 52 scientific papers have been published – 2 articles in journals included in the Scopus and Scopus/ Web of Science databases, 2 foreign articles, 4 in journals recommended by the National Research Institute of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 11 in other publications, 1 monograph, 29 abstracts at international conferences. Compared to last year, the number of publications increased by 53% (34 in 2022-2023 academic years).
The results of the SRA among students are as follows: 13 reports at scientific conferences, 64 awards in the form of diplomas, certificates, 3 cash prizes – in the amount of 400,000 tenge (200,000 tenge, 150,000 tenge, 50,000 tenge).
According to the final result of the Zardozi Home competition, which took place on May 23, 2024, under the leadership of Toremuratova G.E., 2nd year students received prizes: 1st place and a certificate for 200,000 tenge Abdigalieva M., 2nd place and a certificate for 150,000 tenge Orynbasar A., 3rd place and a certificate for 50,000 tenge Rahman D.
The international competition of young designers and fashion designers "Zhas-Orken-2024" was successful for students of the Department of Design. 5th year student Kuat Dinara from the SHUAG collection took 1st place in the "Ethno -fusion" nomination, Zholdasbek Anel took 1st place in the "Art Design" nomination, and also received certificates for participation: Alkanova Z.And, Zhankaeva I.N., Boxalieva A.E. Head: Smilova U.U.
Participation in the International Painting Competition "We can heal our wounds together", organized by the Higher School of Fine Arts of Trabzon Akchaabat, Turkey 2024. under the leadership of Aldanaeva A.M., student Koshkarbek Ayaulym took 1st place, student Umbetov Yersultan took 2nd place.
International book publication "The Best Researcher - 2024" among scientific and educational institutions of the Commonwealth of Independent States, an organizational association of legal entities in the form of the association "National movement "Bobek"., Astana-2024, Head: Smilova U.U. 3rd year students DM-21-11. Adigalieva M.K., Zhankaeva I.N., took the 2nd place.
Innovative activity
In the 2023-2024 academic year, the Department of Design has 1 monograph and 3 textbooks that have been introduced into the educational process, as well as the results of 5 diploma projects have been introduced into production.
