About the CAIDD

ABOUT THE CENTER FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND DIGITAL DEVELOPMENT

The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development (CAIDD) is a structural subdivision of JSC «Almaty Technological University».

The CAIDD includes the following departments:

CENTER GOALS

• Adapt the educational system of JSC «Almaty Technological University» to the digital generation through the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies and digital educational solutions.
• Ensure high quality of educational services and develop competencies in the field of artificial intelligence in accordance with the Concept for the Development of AI for 2024–2029 and the Interuniversity Standard on the Application of AI in Education.
• Integrate digital and AI technologies into all areas of the university’s activities.
• Promote the exchange of experience in the field of artificial intelligence.

 

CENTER OBJECTIVES

1. Organization and support of MOOCs and DER:

• Development and publication of online courses.
• Monitoring and analysis of their use.

2. Implementation of artificial intelligence technologies and digital solutions:

• Integration of AI tools, VR/AR, and cloud technologies into the educational process.
• Modernization of the educational platform.

3. Training of teaching staff:

• Conducting seminars and training sessions on the use of AI and digital tools.
• Sharing of best practices.

4. Technical support:

• Creation of audio and video materials.
• Providing consultations on the implementation and use of artificial intelligence technologies.

 

The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development includes the following initiatives:

HeRo Study Space – a modern educational environment designed to support the learning process and students’ independent study. It actively uses digital educational resources (DER) and massive open online courses (MOOCs), which provide access to interactive materials, adaptive technologies, and innovative learning formats.

 

ATU SkillsHub – a platform for non-formal education focused on developing practical skills and competencies in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and related fields. The platform is open to everyone, including students of JSC «Almaty Technological University» and other universities, offering flexible learning opportunities and up-to-date knowledge in demand on the modern labor market.
