The activities of the Psychological Support Service with the participation of staff and teaching staff in the 2025-2026 academic year
Meeting with the curators of the "Teacher's action algorithm for the prevention of autodestructive behavior"
From September 5 to September 8, 2025, a meeting was held with the curators on the topic "Teacher's algorithm of actions for the prevention of autodestructive behavior." During the event, the main signs of autodestructive behavior, the algorithms of the teacher's actions in identifying students of the "risk group", as well as issues of interaction with the Psychological Support Service were considered. The event contributed to the improvement of the professional competence of the curators and the formation of timely response skills.
Emotional Intelligence training for young teachers
On October 20-21, 2025, the Psychological Support Service of ATU JSC conducted a series of trainings for young teachers on the topic "Emotional intelligence". The purpose of the events was to develop the skills of conscious communication, self-regulation and effective interaction with students. During the trainings, the participants got acquainted with the main components of emotional intelligence, performed practical exercises and discussed the experience gained. The events were held in two academic buildings in an active and supportive atmosphere, contributing to the professional development of teachers.

Methodical mastery: "Thinking and Writing"
On October 30, 2025, together with the Center for Creativity, a methodological workshop on "Thinking and writing" was held with the participation of speakers K.Zhumabayeva and D.Alimkhan. During the event, modern approaches to the development of critical thinking and creativity through written practices, as well as issues of introducing interactive technologies into the educational process were considered. Special attention was paid to the Writing and Thinking program, aimed at developing skills in analysis, reflection, and personal growth through writing. The event was held at a high level, the participants showed activity and interest. The work carried out contributed to the improvement of methodological competence and professional development of teachers.

Winter School 2026: training seminar "Conscious habits - the way to change"
On January 09, 2026, a training seminar was held aimed at forming a conscious attitude to habits and developing self—regulation skills. During the event, participants studied the structure of habits and methods of changing them, and mastered practical tools for forming useful behavioral strategies. The training contributed to the personal growth and awareness of the participants.

Training work with "teaching staff".
On January 15 and February 19, 2026, the Psychological Support Service conducted dynamic game trainings for faculty teachers aimed at developing teamwork and synergy. The participants completed exciting team tasks, learned how to combine roles for a common goal, and strengthened cooperation and mutual support. The events contributed to the formation of team skills, improved communication and the creation of a harmonious working atmosphere among teachers.

On February 09 and February 25, 2026, trainings using a cybernometer were held at Almaty Technological University for the teaching staff of the departments of Design and Textile Production Technology. During the events, the participants got acquainted with the capabilities of the cybernometer for the diagnosis of psychoemotional state, stress level and resource potential. The practical part was aimed at developing self-regulation skills, increasing resilience to professional stress, and preventing burnout. Special attention was paid to the issues of the psychological well-being of the teaching staff, the preservation of professional effectiveness and the formation of a conscious attitude to one's own psycho-emotional state. The teachers of both departments showed activity and interest, which made the events productive and useful.
On February 13, 2026, within the framework of the Tolyq Adam project, a School of curators on the topic "Psychological and pedagogical support" was held. The event was held in the format of a case study: participants analyzed the students' autodestructive and dependent behavior, aggression, and risks of social isolation. As part of the Winter School 2026, the Head of the Psychological Support Service gave a presentation on "Conscious habits: the path to change", revealed the mechanisms of habit formation and gave practical techniques for their implementation. The supervisors practiced communication skills, algorithms for initial response and interaction with the Psychological Support Service. The event was interactive, and the participants noted the practical importance of the acquired knowledge for working with students.

Training for young teachers and supervisors
On February 25-26, 2026, ATU JSC hosted a training for teaching staff and supervisors with 1-3 years of experience on the topic "How to recognize a student's crisis." The participants studied signs of crisis, assessment of risk factors, and algorithms for primary psychological support. The event was held in two buildings and contributed to the improvement of professional competence and strengthening the psychological safety of students.

Activities of the Psychological Support Service with Staff and Teaching Faculty (Professors and Lecturers) in the 2024–2025 Academic YearTraining Activities with Academic Staff
On September 30 – October 1, 2024, the Psychological Support Service held an event for curators and advisors of 1st–4th-year students. The program included a national seminar-lecture in collaboration with the Youth Health Center “AQ ZHOL” at City Polyclinic No. 7, the Research International Institute, and the Regional Mental Health Center (Karaganda) on the topic: “Prevention of Self-Destructive Behavior among Students” within the framework of the “Safe Environment” project. The seminar was broadcast via ZOOM across higher education institutions in Kazakhstan. Its main goal was the timely identification of students in the “risk group” who most need support for their psychological well-being. The event concluded with a group photo of participants and viewers and left warm impressions on everyone present.

From January 8 to 9, 2025, in collaboration with the Institute of Advanced Studies and Professional Development, a course was conducted for curators on the topic: “Features of Educational Work with Students Considering the Psychology of Generation Z.” The course aimed to familiarize curators and educators with the individual and psychological characteristics of Generation Z (born 2000–2011/2015), also known as Zoomers, which includes today’s student youth. Each change in a specific chronological interval affects the formation of thinking, attitudes, and behavior of young people. The program covered socio-psychological characteristics of this generation, technologies and approaches to educational work, methods of psychological and psychotherapeutic influence on students and student groups, and the development of communicative competence for curators and educators.The course lecturer was M.B. Satybaldina, Head of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy at the Research International Institute of Postgraduate Education (PRIPE).

From January 13 to 15, 2025, in collaboration with the Academic and Methodological Department, training sessions on “Skills and Practical Techniques for Working with the Cybernometer” were conducted for faculty members (PPS) as part of the School of Pedagogical Mastery. The aim of the training was to develop effective interaction with others, enhance self-esteem, and create an atmosphere of respect and care within the “family” environment. Participants were provided with techniques for truly hearing and listening to others, active listening, and managing audiences and conflicts. A total of 55 faculty members participated in the event.

On January 22, 2025, the Psychological Support Service conducted an interactive training session for staff as part of an offsite event. The training focused on developing teamwork, improving communication, and strengthening the psychological climate within the team.
