The development of science and education is an important priority task of socio-economic modernization, achieving the competitiveness of the economy and Kazakhstan's entry into the top 30 developed countries of the world.
For the successful implementation of the tasks set by the Almaty Technological University (hereinafter – ATU) it is necessary to create a new university model based on a modern and effective management and quality management system, credit technology and academic mobility of teachers and students, commercialization of the results of scientific and innovative activities of the teaching staff, modern infrastructure, an effective system of training and retraining of personnel of a new formation, effective links with the business sector, modernization of teaching methods, the active development of the online education system and the introduction of effective innovative teaching methods.
The Strategic development plan defines the main directions of the University's work, contains benchmarks and is developed in accordance with the documented procedure of ATU-DP-5.3./5.4.1.-2012-27 "Development of strategy, policy and goals in the field of quality". The main directions and indicators of the University's strategic plan have been determined by the Academic Council until 2020 and brought to the attention of the ATU staff.
