Center for International Scientific Projects and Commercialization

The Center for International Scientific Projects and Commercialization was established in 2021 (initially as the Center for Technology Transfer, Education, and Entrepreneurship) based on a Memorandum of Understanding between Almaty Technological University and GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation). Its primary objective is to initiate and commercialize international scientific projects, as well as to develop and support the entrepreneurial ecosystem at ATU.
The Center serves as a liaison between researchers, educational institutions, and the business sector, facilitating the development, commercialization, and implementation of innovative solutions. To streamline interaction with stakeholders, an online platform has been created at https://cattn.kz/ru/, where technology requests and offers, as well as information on current projects and research, are published.

Key activities of the Center include:

• Organizing and conducting workshops and training sessions on advanced technologies and entrepreneurial skills for students, faculty, and business representatives.
• Developing and supporting innovative projects, including fundraising and conducting laboratory research.
• Marketing promotion of selected projects for further commercialization.
• Collaborating with enterprises and organizations to create new technologies or modernize existing work processes.
• Publishing patents, university projects, and developments, as well as technology offers in various fields.

For interested parties, the Center offers:

• Placement and search for information needed to attract clients or partners.
• Support and consultations at all stages of scientific project implementation — from idea to commercialization.
• Access to the Center's resources and its online platform to establish collaborations and exchange experiences.

Thus, the Center for International Scientific Projects and Commercialization fosters the development of innovation, entrepreneurship, and scientific research, strengthening Almaty Technological University’s position in the international community.
