ATU Strengthens Cooperation with Türkiye’s Leading Technical University

The official delegation of Konya Technical University (Konya Technical University, Turkey), consisting of Vice-Rector, Professor, Dr. Nurettin Çetinkaya and Director of the Office of International Cooperation, Associate Professor, Dr. Muharrem Hilmi Aksoy, visited ATU.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the Leadership of ATU, where the prospects for the development of long-term academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities were discussed. The parties paid special attention to cooperation in the field of engineering and related areas of training.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the possibilities of implementing joint initiatives, including: academic exchange of students and teachers; organization of guest lectures and scientific seminars; joint research and preparation of scientific publications; participation in international scientific and educational projects; development of joint educational programs; organization of internships for students, undergraduates, doctoral students and teachers; exchange of experience in the field of engineering education and modern technologies.

Following the negotiations between the universities, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, which consolidated the parties' intentions to develop cooperation in the field of education and science, expand academic mobility programs, implement joint international projects and strengthen cooperation between relevant faculties and departments.

The meeting and the signing of the memorandum created the basis for the implementation of specific joint initiatives aimed at improving the quality of specialist training, developing scientific research and expanding international opportunities for students, teachers and researchers at both universities.
