The Department of Economics and Management implements a joint educational program with the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. In accordance with this educational program, students studying at the Educational Program "Economics" have the opportunity to get a diploma of Plekhanov Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov in the specialty "Management". Thus, the student of Almaty Technological University, studying under the joint educational program on the educational program "Economics" receives state diplomas of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in the specialty "Management".
The management of ATU actively promotes the development of external academic mobility and has concluded memorandums with 21 foreign universities on the OP of the department. This allows to attract foreign teachers to teaching. The following foreign teachers of the Plekhanov Russian Economic University were invited to give lectures for faculty members, students and undergraduates of the department: Doctor of Economics, Professor Velikorossov V.V., Doctor of Economics, Professor Poltarykhin A.L., Associate Professor Balakhanova D.K., Associate Professor Pulyavina N.S..
The chair of "Economics and Management" cooperates with KEU named after M. Ryskulbekov. Students of EP 6B04101 - Economics, 6B04102 - Management, 6B04103 - State and Local Government annually undergo training practice in the KEU named after M. Ryskulbekov.
