The department develops working curricula that provide for the modular study of disciplines in accordance with the logical sequence of disciplines. The working curricula contain a complete list of academic disciplines grouped into cycles of general education disciplines (GED), basic disciplines (BD) and profile disciplines (PD) with the indication of the labor intensity of each discipline in credits and academic hours.
Teachers form the educational-methodical complex of disciplines of EP, guided by the requirements of normative and regulatory documents, taking into account modern achievements and trends in the development of scientific knowledge and teaching methods, the formation of students' professional competencies and practical skills. Students in the formation of individual curricula are given the opportunity to choose a program of study from the list of alternative courses included in the catalog of elective disciplines.
The implementation of the EP is carried out through the planning of the educational process and all areas of activity with the establishment of specific tasks and target indicators, the functioning of the Quality Management System, the development of a set of regulatory procedures and documentation, the development of internal documentation, monitoring of the educational process and its participants through the provision of reports, questionnaires, control, surveys and other forms. Control over the implementation of the EP is carried out by the head of the department, dean of the faculty, heads of services and departments, pro-rectors of JSC "ATU".
On November 24, 2022 was held a round table at the level of the faculty "Economics and Business" to discuss the project of Catalogs of elective disciplines, trajectories of training of students by levels of training OP of the Department of E&M with the participation of stakeholders. It should be noted that employers are involved in the educational process at the stage of preparation and selection of elective disciplines necessary for the development of the Catalog of elective disciplines in accordance with the educational trajectories and before the Round Table all employers were sent letters with the list of elective disciplines for study and, if necessary, their adjustment and further approval. In the course of the Round Table, at the suggestion of employers, a number of elective disciplines were included in the KEDs of the EP, which will allow to form key competencies of future graduates.
On September 28, 2023 a meeting of the department was held to discuss and update the model of graduates by levels of training of EPs of the Department of E&M. Employers noted the relevance of the problem of formation of professional competencies of future graduates of the EP of the department, discussed the level of preparation of young specialists for work, qualities, skills and abilities that they need to consolidate to build a successful career and made their recommendations to the graduate model of EP Economics, Management and State and local government by levels of training. They also noted that the graduate model should be dynamic, with a constant possibility of adjustment in accordance with changes in the economy and labor market. They discussed the Development Plan of the EP "Economics", "Management", "State and local government" for 2023-2029 with the participation of leading specialists, teachers, students of the main directions and activities to improve the development of the EP of the department.
