The area of educational and scientific laboratories and computer classes of the department is 472,2 sq.m.
The department has 3 laboratories for sewing production and 2 laboratories of sewing equipment, organized with modern equipment and devices, 4 computer classes, training in which allows you to acquire practical skills in the light industry products production, as well as a laboratory for conducting research work of students, master’s and doctoral students at scientific -research institute RIofLI.
The department widely uses various innovative teaching methods using digital technologies. Thus, the following computer-aided design systems are used in the educational process: CAD "Grafis", AWP "Tekhnolog" and "AUTOCAD", including educational versions intended for conducting lectures, performing laboratory work, coursework and diploma work for students of the EP "Technology and design of light industry products”, “Machines and devices of light industry”, as well as for research purposes in the preparation of master’s and doctoral dissertations.
Department has free access to broadband Internet, ATU website allow you to have access to the databases of the Republican Interuniversity Electronic Library, Thomson Reuters, Scopus, and databases of Russian publishing houses.
