Students and teachers of the department actively participate in fashion events at the republican level and abroad. The department has awards and diplomas for participation in international and republican competitions “Podium” (RF), “Siberian Couturier” (RF), “Zhas Orken” (RK, ATU).
The teaching staff of the department annually undergoes advanced training and scientific internships at leading industries, research centers and universities in Kazakhstan, far and near abroad. The geography of internships includes Russia, Uzbekistan, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, South Korea, Bulgaria, and the China, Shanghai city.
