Department of Textile Production Technology

The Department of Textile Production Technologies was organized in 1987 on the basis of the general technical faculty of the Dzhambul Technological Institute of Light and Food Industry. At the origins of the creation of the department were leading experts and scientists in the field of technology and equipment for the textile and light industry: Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Doskhozhaev Dosmukhamed Tileulinovich, Professor Wagner Ionnart Albrekhtovich, Professors Khromtsov Sergey Vladimirovich, Kutzhanova Aiken Zhumatayevna, Khudova Lyubov Nikolaevna, associate professors Shkunova Lyubov Vladimirovna, Kozyrev Viktor Aleksandrovich, Dzhaksybaeva Kamshat Alpysbaevna, Singer Emma Eduardovna. From its creation until 2000, the department was headed by Ph.D., Professor Sergey Vladimirovich Khromtsov.

• In the 2000-2018 academic year, the department was headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor Kutzhanova Aiken Zhumatayevna.
• In the 2018-2024 academic year, the department was headed by Ph.D., Professor Indira Mikhailovna Dzhurinskaya.
• In 2024, PhD doctor Takey Yergengul Takeyovna was appointed head of the department of Textile Production Technologies.

The mission of the Department of Textile Production Technology is to train highly qualified, creatively thinking, competitive, and well-adapted specialists and scientific-pedagogical personnel in the field of technology and design of textile materials, safety of non-food products and items, as well as in related areas of activity.

The department's goal is to create the necessary conditions for providing modern high-quality education to young people, utilizing new educational and information technologies, experience, and scientific-intellectual potential.

The department's objectives include preparing in-demand, highly qualified, and competitive specialists in the field of technology and design of textile materials, assessing the quality and safety of textile and light industry products, having modern intellectual and engineering-technical education.
