Research work

One of the most important areas of scientific activity of the department “Machines and apparatus for production processes” is carrying out research work within the framework of fundamental and applied research and international cooperation, financed from the state budget, and business contracts financed by customer enterprises.

The activity of professors and their participation in scientific research increased by 8.5% compared to 2018. In 2018, 17 people took part in scientific conferences, in 2019 – 39.

In the second half of 2018, 3 articles were published, one of which is included in the Thomson Reuters database, and two articles in Scopus. Also, compared to the previous reporting period, 16 more employees improved their skills and received certificates (2019 - 54, 2018 - 33).

Compared to last year, the material and technical base has received significant development and for scientific research and equipping laboratories, various installations and instruments were purchased at the expense of ATU funds in the amount of 19,271,053 tenge, at the expense of a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan - equipment in the amount of 617 072 tenge A computer class equipped with a software and hardware complex was also purchased (room 221). The total amount of acquisitions in 2018 was 1,389,382.13 tenge, in 2018 - 19,888,125 tenge.

During the 2019-20 academic year, the faculty of the department published 60 scientific printed works, with a total volume of 155 pp, including articles in foreign journals - 12, articles in journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 5, monographs - 2, textbooks - 11, innovative patents - 7, positive decisions on inventions - 3, applications for inventions submitted - 2. 18 reports were made, of which: at a foreign conference - 9, at the International Research and Production Complex - 9.

In the department, by 2020, 17 teaching staff had undergone advanced training. This represents 55% of the entire team.

During the 2020-21 academic year, teaching staff of the department published 78 scientific printed works, with a total volume of 165 pp, including articles in foreign journals - 14, articles in journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 16, monographs - 3, textbooks - 11, innovative patents - 5, positive decisions on inventions - 2, applications for inventions submitted - 1. 15 reports were made, of which: at a foreign conference - 12, at the International Research and Production Complex - 3.

The scientific and pedagogical potential of the MAPP department in the 2021-22 academic year is 22 teachers. Of these, 3 doctors of science, 7 candidates of science, 3 doctors of philosophy (PhD), 7 masters, 2 part-time students. The degree of study in the department increased by 2% and is 60%, of which the degree of regular teaching staff is 65%, an increase of 12%; in the 2020-2021 academic year, the degree of regularity in the department was 59%, of regular teaching staff - 58.1%.

During the reporting period, the faculty of the department published 33 scientific printed works in 2022. Number of articles in foreign journals - 9; articles in journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 5. At international conferences of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 11; and in international conferences abroad – 2.

During the reporting period, no monographs were published; in 2022, the number of educational and methodological publications of the department’s teaching staff was 5.

The number of works published by students, undergraduates and/or together with teaching staff in 2022 was 11.

The number of patents received has decreased, in 2022 it was 1 (in 2021 – 5).

Overall, the number of publications decreased by 2.9% compared to last year 2021 (34 publications).

The degree of study in the department is 61%, of which the degree of regular teaching staff is 48%.

During the reporting period, the faculty of the department published 49 scientific printed works in 2023, which is 33% more than in the previous year 2022 (33 publications). The number of articles in foreign journals is 12, of which 5 Scopus, 4 Scopus/Web of Science, 1 foreign article, 3 RSCI articles; articles in journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 4, 3 published works in journals recommended by KOKSNVO MNIVO RK, 1 in other publications. At international conferences of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 16, at international conferences abroad - 8, RNPK - 2.

During the reporting period, no monographs were published; in 2023, the number of educational and methodological publications of the department’s teaching staff was 3.

The number of works published by students, undergraduates and/or together with teaching staff was 11 in 2023.

The number of patents received in 2023 was 2, applications - 1.

Competition for grant funding for scientific and (or) scientific and technical projects (Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan) 5 applications were submitted from the department, 1 of which are under examination, one is not approved for funding and the remaining 3 are approved.

Participation in conferences, competitions and inventive activities of the teaching staff of the department, research work of students together with the teaching staff is promoted.

In the department, by 2023, 20 teaching staff have undergone advanced training. This represents 66.6% of the entire team.

The research activities of young scientists are as active as last year. On May 14, 2023, doctoral student of the department Askarov A.D. defended his doctoral dissertation. Master's students also defend on time. International scientific cooperation has been established with several countries, such as the Netherlands, Germany, Bulgaria, Russia.
