Academic mobility

International practice as an element of the educational process is carried out in order to consolidate and expand the knowledge acquired by students at the university; acquire the necessary practical skills to work in a specialty in production conditions and master advanced methods of technology and labor of foreign countries.

The purpose of international practice is to consolidate professional competence, acquire practical skills and professional experience. The main objectives of international practice are:

  • the study of types of professional activities in the specialty, their functions and tasks;
  • consolidation of theoretical knowledge and the formation of professional skills and competencies on this basis;
  • mastering innovative technologies, advanced labor and production methods;
  • acquisition of organizational and professional experience;
  • acquisition of teamwork skills, competencies of corporate management principles;
  • mastering the skills to independently plan your activities, establish useful contacts with colleagues, determine a professional role position, and form a sense of responsibility.
  • The international practice program will provide an opportunity for students studying in the educational programs of their specialty to see the world, acquire new competencies, skills and abilities, prove themselves and lay strong foundations for a successful career within their future profession.

The international practice of students of bachelor's and master's degree programs takes place in accordance with the academic calendar and the program of practices. All heads of practice from departments maintain constant communication with interns and heads of practice from organizations.

Academic mobility is the transfer of students for a certain academic period (including academic or industrial practice), usually a semester or an academic year, to another higher educational institution (within the country or abroad) for study or research, with mandatory transfer of completed educational programs in the form of credits in the prescribed manner university.

There is a distinction between external (international) and internal (national) academic mobility.

External academic mobility refers to the training of students in foreign universities, as well as the work of research teachers in foreign educational or scientific institutions.

Internal academic mobility refers to the training of students, as well as the work of research teachers in leading Kazakhstani universities.

The process of selecting students to participate in the program is based on the "Rules of direction for studying abroad, including within the framework of academic mobility" https://adilet.zan.kz/rus/docs/V080005499 Order No. 613 of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 19, 2008, in accordance with the Rules, a COMPETITION COMMISSION was established at the University, chaired by the Rector, which includes representatives of the university and representatives of the elected bodies of the city and region, public organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Students of the 2nd and 3rd years of study can participate in the academic mobility program.

  • GPA with a high level of academic achievement of at least 3.5 and above
  • Knowledge of a foreign language at an advanced level B2 and above, it is desirable to have a certificate obtained through international foreign language assessment systems (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.)
