The entry of Almaty Technological University (ATU) into the world scientific and educational space is facilitated by the introduction and maintenance of the "Quality Management System for Educational Activities and Training of Specialists" based on international standards of the ISO 9000 series.
The scope of the QMS applies to educational activities for the training of personnel with higher and postgraduate professional education in accordance with the state compulsory standards of higher and higher professional education in specialties and areas in accordance with the area of licensing.
During the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 academic years, work was carried out to develop and implement the quality management system of the Almaty Technological University (QMS ATU). In October 2005-2006 academic year, ATU conducted an international certification audit, as a result of which the university was issued QMS Certificate No. 40047 dated October 27, 2005 by Moody International Certification (Great Britain).
The ATU QMS is maintained by the team in working order in accordance with the requirements of MS ISO 9001:2015 in relation to the current organizational structure of ATU JSC and is aimed at creating and maintaining conditions for high-quality training of specialists and, as a result, achieving high financial and economic indicators, has become an object of regular analysis and evaluation by top management, the basis for planning activities and developing personnel motivation systems.
In 2021, a double Quality Management System Certificate No. 21.0075.026 dated January 18, 2021 was received from the Russian Register Certification Association and the international network of certification bodies IQNet.
In the period from December 2 to December 4, 2020, the re-certification of the quality management system took place. In January 2021, a double QMS Certificate was received under No. 21.0075.026 dated January 18, 2021 from the Russian Register Certification Association and the International Network of Certification Bodies IQNet for a period up to January 17, 2024.
