Department of scientific work organization.
Department of scientific work organization is a structural division of the University, which is part of Science Management, ensuring coordination of scientific work of scientific and pedagogical collectives and individual scientists of the University within the framework of the basic directions of scientific activity in accordance with the priority areas of science and technology.
The main objectives of the department are:
- scientific and organizational support for raising the level of basic, applied research and technological development of the University scientists;
- increase in the volume of research carried out in the thematic plan of R&D;
- intensification of research activity of the structural units of the University;
- more efficient use of intellectual, material, financial, information and other resources, education, research, innovation, social and other structural subdivisions of the ATU, as well as third-party agencies and organizations.
Activities of Department of scientific work organization (DCWO) are aimed at achieving the following objectives:
- ensuring the necessary conditions for the full use and development of scientific and technical potential of structural divisions of ATU and individual employees;
- organization of system of planning and reporting of budget and off-budget R&D, adequate socio-political, economic, scientific and technical terms;
- coordination of all budgetary and extra-university R&D departments within the basic research directions;
- inclusion of groups of scientific and scientific-pedagogical schools in the University into intense research activity for the main research areas;
- monitoring of scientific and educational area of the University;
- practice-oriented activities on raising responsibility of the heads of departments for conducting off-budget studies in the “second half” of individual plans of teachers’ teams;
- integration of DCWO functions in the overall structure of UN functions;
- extensive collaboration with University services to provide budgetary and extra R&D.
