The Department of «Food Safety and Quality» of Almaty Technological University organized a round table on November 9, 2022 to discuss the results of educational programs 6B07501 – Standardization, certification and metrology (in the food industry), 7M07501/7M07531 – Standardization and certification, 7M07502/7M07532 – Metrology, 7M07203/7M07263/ – Food safety, 8D07203 – Food safety, QED and topics of theses for the 2022-2023 academic year with the participation of employers, students, teachers.

The round table was attended by the deputy. Head of the Department Iztileuov M.K., head of the MO of the educational department Balkhybekova K.S., chief specialist of the Department of Technical Regulation and Metrology of Almaty Imashev R.B., head of the Department of Standardization and Metrology of RSE «Kazstandart» Zhanabaeva L.Ya., leading specialist of RSE «Kazstandart» Bekenova D.S., deputy. Director of Kaztechservice LLP Yerzhigitov Е.S., Head of the lab. physico-chemical research LLP Scientific and production Enterprise «Antigen» NurseitovaM., teachers of the department, doctoral students, undergraduates and students.

Letters of recommendation were received from the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies on educational programs of food safety, recommendations were also received from the Oryol State University named after L.Turgenev on renaming some bachelor’s degree disciplines and on the relevance of opening a doctoral program, where he presented several disciplines for inclusion in the RUP. Proposals were received from RSE «Kazstandart» where 4 relevant disciplines for doctoral studies were presented.

The head of the department, R.U. Uazhanova, noted that in educational programs in 2021, the goals of the educational program were adjusted, the results of training were adjusted according to descriptors 6, 7, 8, professional standards, the Atlas of New Professions, the trajectory of Metrological support of production was taken into account and included, and new disciplines were revised. Positive decisions and approvals have been received in the Register of Educational Programs for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies.

She also noted that answers were received from employers, where recommendations were presented on correcting the names of some disciplines and opening a new educational program for the doctoral program “SSаM”.

Deputy head of the educational and methodological department Iztleuov M.K. stressed the importance of participating in the teaching of practitioners, as well as strengthening doctors in SSаM, for this to open an educational program with joint efforts.

Employers have accepted these proposals and are ready to assist in the recommendation of new digital technologies. In the end, decisions were made, the department took into account all the recommendations and suggestions that will be made to educational programs, to prepare teachers for advanced training courses, and the proposals of students were also taken into account.
